Overnight Oatmeal

This recipe has entered our normal rotation for breakfast. I don’t like eating breakfast, normally ending up with a smoothie, granola bar, or something else portable because I don’t eat until 930-1000. Matt loves oatmeal for breakfast, but it can be a pain to make and usually doesn’t happen. So this is a fantastic option for us.

It starts with a batch of yogurt, but you can definitely use store bought. Just plain yogurt.



1/4 c. oatmeal                                                                                                                                           1 tsp. chia seeds                                                                                                                                       1 jar of yogurt, approx. 6 oz.                                                                                                              1-2 Tbs jam/honey/sweetener                                                                                                      1/4-1/2 c. milk/soymilk/almond milk


Mix it all together, let it sit in the fridge overnight.


And enjoy knowing you have breakfast ready for when you wake up tomorrow.
